Television - WIP by bluespeed9 Television - WIP by bluespeed9
In case you're not familiar with my gallery, this is a portion of the scene "Welcome Home". I think I am, finally, going to get around to working on this piece again. As you see right now, there's not been much added but I promise that those shelves shall be filled with every piece of crap that currently resides in my apartment.

Updates coming soon. (Hopefully)

:bulletred:Still a work in progress.
:bulletblue:Scene rendered in Cinema 4D.
:bulletblue:All models and textures created by me.

As you know, I loved "Welcome home," so I was really happy to see that you decided to dedicate a picture specifically to the television!! :boogie: Oh how I love television... :heart: :D haha anyhoo, I recognize all the DVDs, and of course, the show on! hehe

The carpet looks quite comfy! But as someone else mentioned, the tiling is a little noticeable :hmm: But it's still a great pic regardless! :+fav:

ps- as usual, sorry for the late comment ^^;

I know nothing about 3D stuff, so I can't offer you any critque. I will say that this is awesome. Without the full-view it looks like a photograph. The carpet, the TV case, the shelves, everything has amazing texture. Incredible!

First, I love the amount of detail you put into the shelves. You got the rounded corners/edges, and you got the notches in the bars bang on. A small thing that caught my eye was that the shadows that belong to the shelves themselves seem to float on the wall and not actually seem to be attached to the shelves. For instance, the upper edge of the shadows creep past the shelves and are above them, which seems a bit unnatural. The TV is a nice touch on the shelves, since that's the kind of TV that I had throughout my complicated childhood. Lots of good memories, nostalgia right there. Beautiful rendering of the DVD cases, with real covers too! You're on your way to a very real and very earthly render of a scene. The TV screen seems too flat for the kind that its coloring and structure implies. Try to curve the screen surface, and make the edges round out a bit more. I LOVE how you reflected the floor in the screen surface, it was a very nice touch to the realism. Thumbs up dood!

Impressive detail and realism! Though I have to note that I wouldn't envy you for your appartment if this is what it looks like... It looks so dark and gloomy :(. The only thing I can add is that the TV-screen will need some highlights from the lamp eventually. But the piece is still in progress, so no rush there :).

Ya I like the rendering alot and I like the perspective chosen. But as with the guy above's comment I think you should think about changing the tile set of the carpet. You can kind of see the verticle line that tiles it, as well as with the curtains. They look like nice tiles to use but perhaps a offset to make it seem more random might help?

But I like it anyway :)

Looking good. I think the edges should be a little sharper. Generally the old TVs didn't have smooth corners.

Nice modeling job on the TV. The fake woodgrain texture looks a little too fake, unless that's how it really looks... The only major flaw I see is that "The Big Lebowski" should be more prominently displayed. :)

the first thing that i noticed about this image was the lighting. You did a great job there, very realistic and even got the light from the screen, i definatly wouldnt have thought of that! i see the happy gilmour dvd, that and futurama on tv, looks like a fun night at home. :D

That's and awesome TV... a retro flat screen ;)

Looks almost real, man. The textrue of the carpeting and the little details (like the DVDs and the shelf track) are gorgeous. Of course, Furtutama adds 10 points to that too :)
